“You go in thinking you are helping your own, but you are helping the whole. I can now help not just my own child; I can help a whole generation.” – Paula Anders, 2004 PPS-Jackson PLI graduate
The Jackson chapter of Parents for Public Schools was instrumental in bringing the first Parents Leadership Institute to Mississippi. Their first PLI was conducted in 2004. Since then, more than 150 parents have completed the program and have successfully implemented a host of projects to improve education opportunities for public school students in the Jackson area.
