Union Contract Renegotiations

Thanks to a collaboration between PPS Buffalo and The District Parent Coordinating Council of the Buffalo Public Schools, parents have an opportunity to weigh in during the upcoming contract renegotiation process for all 9 school-related contracts (teacher, administrator, building aide, janitorial, etc.). 

Questions to Consider

1. How do the various union contracts affect what happens in my child's classroom?
2. Which contracts directly relate to student achievment issues and how?
3. How can I participate in letting the district and the unions know what changes I would like to see in the union contracts?

Make your Voice Heard!

Take a look at the Buffalo Teacher's Contract and read the many sections that directly relate to student achievement.  Then, contact ppsbuffalo@aol.com and let us know what concerns you as a parent about the contract.

Contact ppsbuffalo@aol.com and let us know what your concerns are regarding your child's achievement in the Buffalo Public Schools.  We will incorporate your comments into a resolution to be presented to the the Buffalo Board of Education and to the District Superintendent.
